Joe's real estate career began in the most unusual way. Growing up in Northeast Philly behind the Burger King at Frankford and Linden he got his first job at the age of 14 in 1979 at Boulevard Lanes, a well-known bowling alley owned by Philadelphia developer Joseph Smylie located at Rhawn and the Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia. Starting at such a young age, Mr. Smylie took Joe under his wing showing him the "ropes" of real estate management, development and investment. Six years later Joe purchased the business which began his steady rise in business and real estate as an owner-investor of commercial and residential real estate and over the next 15 years, acquired and developed a restaurant plus commercial and residential properties in both Northeast Philadelphia and New Hope Bucks County.

In 2000 Joe and his wife, fellow realtor Johnna, successfully negotiated the sale of Boulevard Lanes to Fortune 500 Company AMF. The Zarroli's, along with their two children, relocated to Hawaii where Joe honed his skills in representing both buyers and sellers alike in the luxury resort market. Spending 3 years in Hawaii was definitely a unique experience but commitments back East necessitated their return, relocating at the South Jersey Shore. In 2006 Joe received his license as a New Jersey Realtor and over the past several years has been able to shatter the multi-million dollar sales threshold due to the constant hands-on approach he employs in each and every transaction, no matter what the dollar amount. Because of the trusting relationship he has forged with his clients Joe continues to eclipse the million dollar sales figure regardless of market fluctuations.

Joe has expanded his area of expertise into the Short-sale/REO/Foreclosure market having represented both buyer and seller alike in these types of transactions. Joe is an official Short Sale/REO-Foreclosure agent for the South Jersey Shore region and a authorized BPO agent, placing values on distressed properties for lending institutions and other real estate agents and agencies.

In February 2009 Joe formed Island Realty Group and acquired Fasy Real Estate at the Jersey Shore. Since then he has put together a team of seasoned veterans representing the various communities of the Jersey Shore from Brigantine to Cape May.
